BBC 4 Goes Japanese

bbc-logoThe digital television station BBC4 is starting a season dedicated to everything that is Japanese, and it starts from today and will run through until Monday the 6th April. The month long season features a range of documentaries, animation, dramas and various other features that will invite viewers to immerse themselves into this far eastern country.

“Everything in the season will be given a Japanese twist – from the wide-ranging content including documentaries by award-winning directors, classic animations and 30-second language lessons, to the identity of the channel itself with channel idents, logos and specially shot promotional films all given a Japanese makeover.

  • Japan: A Story Of Love And Hate (Ten Foot Films)

  • I, Samurai
  • Great Railway Journeys: Tokyo To Kagoshima
  • Natural World: Buddha, Bees And The Giant Hornet Queen
  • Spirited Away
  • In The Shadow Of Fujisan
  • Geisha Girl
  • Gohatto
  • Twilight Samurai
  • The Sumo Tokoyama
  • Secret life Of A Masterpiece – The Wave
  • Natural World : Garden Of The Gods – Hokkaido
  • Natural World: Satoyama – Japan’s Water Garden
