The popular manga and anime show, D.Gray-Man has announced to be on a temporary hiatus. Katsura Hoshino, the author of the series, has stated that this is due to her health, and she wants to be fully fit before continuing with this popular franchise. This sort of sabbatical is not uncommon in Japan, where the pressure of writing and drawing new stories each week can take its toll on the author’s health.
There’s currently no date for her to resume work; however, in Japan 16 volumes of the manga have been released whereas in the UK we’re currently at 11. So there’s no need to panic just yet.
